dot density maps — English
These are maps with dots placed inside polygons in proportion to a numeric value of a variable. These are used to represent the populations of counties or provinces, or other numeric data corresponding to defined areas, with more dots for higher levels of the variable, for example one dot per 1 000 inhabitants.
