interval/ratio scale — English
An interval/ratio scale is a measurement scale that records both order and absolute difference in value for a set of variables. Examples are elevations above sea level, where a mountain of 2 000 m is twice as high as a mountain of 1 000 m, or an area with a rainfall of 1 000 mm of rain per year that gets twice the amount of rain that an area with a rainfall of 500 mm per year gets.
